cute outfit

hey guys, ok, well kathy has already heard this story but i will tell it again so zennie can get a laugh out of it. (btw, does anyone look at the blog besides kathy, zennie, myself, and occasionally diana, mike, and derek??? i never hear from danny, rich, and james. i'm sure they are "too busy.") anyway, back to my story. so i posted this picture b/c it kind of goes along with the story. it was a new outfit, and its cute right??!! i was so excited about it, especially the shoes. and aurora wore it on monday. well we went to dc and had a nice time and when we got home danny had just bought some shampoo (which was orange of course). and somehow aurora opened up the lid, took off the little seal and just had a hay day with it! she got the shampoo all over the carpet in our bedroom, all over her shirt and pants, and all over her new shoes!!!!!!!!!!!!! i about screamed! but here's the kicker--danny and i were BOTH in the room with her while she created this huge mess. i was on the bed reading and danny was on the computer so we both had our backs to her. i guess that is what we get for not paying attention to her!! (luckily all the orange shampoo came out of her clothes and shoes :)
let's see...anything else worth sharing....well i'm sure everyone knows about danny and me going to new york for his birthday. kathy is coming to stay with aurora and we are very excited! brett and lisa (who we will be staying with) already have an itinerary made up and it sounds like a lot of fun! we are planning to go to the today show, to top of the rock (where you can look out over the whole city), and maybe a broadway show (if we can get cheap tickets!), to the temple, and eat lots of yummy food!! brett and lisa live in manhattan so i am really excited about that! last time we went we stayed in new jersey and that was a pain to take the bus in so this will be better :)
ok, what else....danny had a soccer game last night and he scored the only goal of the entire game! his team was very happy b/c now they are still undefeated :) go danny go! he had a football game last saturday and his team did awful!! i mean, they really stunk it up! and danny threw an interception. he was so depressed about it he came home and ate away his sorrows. he ate a rotisserie chicken, mashed potatoes, and a huge cinnamon roll (comfort food).
hmmm, anything else....well aurora is talking a lot more. she babbles constantly and i mostly can't understand her but she will repeat words if i ask her to (sometimes). i have been trying to get her to learn the animals and animal sounds but she isn't grasping it. and she won't say her name either. she does know body parts though. she has down : eyes, ears, nose, teeth, head, toes, fingers, and chin. and she won't say i love you either!! its driving me crazy. i know she can but she just won't. she is better now at saying please and thank you but only if i make her. she loves doggies, babies, and airplanes. we live near the airplane park and the airplanes come in so close she just loooooooves it!! and if she sees them in the sky she gets very excited. she loves to play with baby dolls and to touch real babies. i don't let her very much but if i ever do let her touch a real baby she says "saaaf, saaaf" meaning soft. b/c she knows she has to do soft touches. she likes dogs from a distance, if they get close to her she freaks out. oh and she had her first week in nursery last sunday. she did good they said and she wasn't scared at all.
